Inspired by the improvised packaging systems used to transport goods across regions of Africa and India, the piece transforms the language of wrapping, binding, and securing into a quiet sculptural object of light.
Its translucent porcelain shade appears suspended within a solid oak structure, delicately compressed and held together by an intricate network of jute rope. The irregular lines created by the cord introduce a spontaneous and organic rhythm across the surface, drawing freely around the volume like traces of movement or memory. Rather than
concealing the construction, the rope becomes an essential visual gesture — a tactile drawing that wraps the object with tension and vulnerability.
