Crafted from slightly wet French oak, IKRAM is intentionally built using green wood so the stool evolves naturally over time. As the timber slowly dries, new tensions emerge within the grain, generating subtle movements, surface shifts, and organic cracks that make each piece entirely unique. Rather than resisting these transformations, the stool welcomes them, allowing time and climate to become silent collaborators in the final form.
Its composition is reduced to a series of monolithic planes and intersecting volumes that create a strong architectural silhouette. The wide trapezoidal legs establish a grounded and stable presence, while the asymmetrical seat introduces tension and visual dynamism through its sharp diagonal cut. This gesture creates the impression that the upper volume has been split apart, exposing the internal energy contained within the wood itself.
